This is a fun, energetic style of dance often seen on stages of musical productions. It uses lots of travelling steps with kicks, turns & leaps requiring strength & flexibility. Modern Theatre dance originated in America but is now seen throughout the world. It is a rhythmic dance style known for its theatrical qualities. Midlands Dance Theatre Centre enters Grades, Jazz Awards & Vocational exams from Intermediate Foundation to Advanced 2 for the ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing).
What to wear:
Girls: ~ Leotards any colour or style/crop tops ~ Leggings/Hot Pants ~ Honey footless tights ~ Hair in a neat ponytail.
Boys: ~ T-shirts/vests ~ Leggings/shorts.
