Recently 20 dancers from Midlands Dance Theatre Centre’s Competition Team qualified for Nationals in Cape Town for the MOVE! Dance Competition, 2021. Dancers from Port Elizabeth, Kynsna, Cape Town, Durban & Pietermaritzburg all gathered together to compete. MDTC came away with 10 first places and 1 third place over a variety of age groups from 9 – 17 years. 1st places were achieved for Solos, Duets and Trios and a 3rd for the Group with 15 dancers in it.
The Team had a fantastic time in CT! Some of them visited LAMTA (the new Musical Theatre School), did some sightseeing and went to the Waterfront.
Onwards and upwards for 2022!
