On the 14 November 2020 Midlands Dance Theatre Centre held our annual American Academy of Ballet Awards at Lynwood Club, Pietermaritzburg. Our judge was Mrs Betty Blake. 37 of our dancers took part, ranging from Level 2 – Level 12.
Despite the 37ºC temperature, our dancers excelled with 16 of them receiving either Golds or Golds with Distinction. 13 of them also received Mignon Furman Bursaries to attend Summer School in New York in 2021.
